Cat sitting in Repton
I'm based in Repton, so visits here are the shortest on my round — usually a few minutes' walk. Most houses in the village are within a 1.0-mile hop.
Repton is a proper village rather than a row of new builds: sandstone houses, the Priory ruins, Repton School, and the Trent valley all within walking distance of each other. Cats here tend to have quiet, settled routines, which makes drop-in visits straightforward.
Because the school and the village sit close together, traffic gets busy around drop-off and pick-up. I plan Repton visits to avoid the worst of it and to give each cat proper attention rather than rushing back to the road.
Around Repton
Repton Priory & St Wystan's
The Anglo-Saxon crypt under the church is the village's most famous landmark — handy as a reference point if you want to tell me roughly where you are.
The High Street and Brook End
Most of the homes I visit are within a short walk of one of these, whether you're in a terraced cottage or one of the newer streets off Ashby Road.
Getting there
Foot and bike the whole way — no car, no van. If you've got a back garden with a tricky side gate, just say and I'll use the front.
Ideal for
- Cats that prefer a quiet, familiar visitor
- Homes near the High Street, Brook End, Askew Hill, and the streets off Ashby Road
- Short-notice bookings — I'm already in the village most days
