Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated June 2026. This explains what data I collect when you book or contact me, and your rights under UK GDPR.
Who I am
Lawrence Millard operates cat sitting and plant care in Repton and nearby villages. For data protection queries, email l@millard.ink.
What I collect
- Booking details: name, email, phone, address, postcode, cat name, visit notes
- Payment status via Stripe (card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by me)
- Reviews you choose to leave
- Contact form messages
- Basic technical logs (errors via Sentry; optional analytics if you accept cookies)
Why I use it
To arrange and deliver visits, send confirmations, take payment, respond to enquiries, and improve the website. Legal bases: contract (bookings), legitimate interests (running the service), and consent (non-essential cookies/analytics).
How long I keep it
Booking and customer records are kept for up to 6 years for tax and dispute purposes, unless you ask me to delete sooner and I no longer need them. Reviews may remain published after anonymising contact details.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data, and object to certain processing. Email me to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
Processors
I use Neon (database), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Sentry (error monitoring), and optionally Amplitude (analytics). Each processes data under their own terms and, where applicable, UK/EU safeguards.
